Okay so obviously it was a pretty big weekend in the world of sports with the NFL divisional round playoff games and everything. But let’s be real with ourselves here. There wasn’t a single thing that we saw in football this weekend that can top what this handball goal brought to the table in terms of pure entertainment factor.
Little pump fake at the top of the key. Off the dribble, takes some contact, goes airborne, behind-the-back and he bottom corner with that snipe. People talk all the time about how the United States could win Olympic gold every 4 years in handball if we gave our best athletes like LeBron James just a few months to train ahead of time. But let me tell you this–it would be pretty damn difficult for LeBron James to have this type of accuracy going behind-the-back after he’s had 5 glasses of wine before every game. You think Pablo Simonet is showing up to the court with a glass of red? Get real. So not only was this the sickest highlight in sports this weekend, but it also sets a great example for all the boys and girls watching back home.
